As we all know, Sukij is a techie nerd at heart. To honor that nerdy heart of his, Sukij has decided to provide all of his status updates on this blog. This will help Sukij to keep in touch with everyone while maintaining his focus on getting stronger.
Practice your own blogging skills and leave well wishes, comments, and questions on this site. Sukij's special request at this time is to collect special life lessons from all of you. So, if you have a moment to share any original quotes, life lessons, anecdotes, please do. These will form the content of a book that we will work to publish.

A friend of mine once said that his motto was, "Never forget your sense of humor and don't let the jerks get you down."
One quote that Sukij told me once that has really stuck is, "If something is worth doing then it is worth doing imperfectly."
Thank you for all of the inspiration and encouragement over the years. I'll try to think of more quotes for you.
One of my personal values that I live by is "Avise La Fin" or "Consider the End", which is also the Kennedy family motto. Taken one way it can be interpreted as "don't get mad, get even". Taken another way (my preferred way) is to take the long-range view. People who take the long-range view don't over-react or retaliate. They care about things like people, and relationship capital - always remembering to leave our "personal bank accounts" with positive balances - always making more deposits than withdrawals.

Hmm - I'll need to work on a better way to articulate these ideas but I think my life lessons are:
1.) "At least once a year, laugh so hard you pee your pants. Take life with a sense of humor!"
2.) "Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Be sure to get your fiber. Seriously."
3.) "Get outside and explore!!"
4.) "Passing judgment on others is unattractive and NOT your job. Approach every day, every person, every endeavor, EVERYTHING, with an open mind."
Love...just love.
Thank you, Sukij.
Lead from the heart...
The decisions I've made in life that have been led by my heart (vs my head) have had the most profound impacts.
Be true to yourself...
We've all been put on this earth for a special purpose. If you are true to yourself, you are more likely to achieve your special purpose.
Sukij, you are one of those VERY rare individuals I have encountered in my life that I consider incredibly remarkable in every way. I think you are true to yourself, and approach everything you do with an enormous amount of heart.

Resilience is key in facing life's many challenges, and Sukij is a great role model for being resilient, and finding the opportunities for advancement and and enhancement in thinking AND execution. Sukij demonstrates this through what could be referred to as 'thought leadership', which is both infectious and stimulating.
Thank you, Sukij, for your insight, challenging others to think beyond the obvious, and most importantly, your beautiful friendship!
With Love and admiration,
Randy
There are lots of quotes I like (mostly CS Lewis) but of course no quote is profound enough to guide us through all the challenges we face. That's why my favorite quote comes from Jesus in Luke 9:23. Being a Christian is so daily, each morning when we get up we have to start over, pushing aside our desires and seeking Him.
Sukij, we only crossed paths briefly that one summer but the example you set on zeal for life in general and living for the Lord always stuck with me. Thanks for the personal interest you took in me.
Our/my dear friend Sukij,
I am surprised to receive your email with this sad news about your health. It seems like just yesterday we were enjoying the spectacular [winter] weather of San Diego and catching up on each others lives...
Sukij, you are always so up beat and wonderful to all of those around you. Your optimism combined with all our prayers will help you through this difficult time. You are in my thoughts, my dear friend.
With warmest regards,
Frankie Frye
p.s. - many thanks to Karen for setting up the blog!
