Hourglass Sand in Slow Motion

Dear Sukij

Thanks so much for reaching out. We are so very honored that we had a chance to talk with you briefly tonight. Your voice, battle weary though it be, is so rich with beautiful memories. Our sadness is only a shadow of the joy we have known with you. You are loved so profoundly! There is no need to be anything other than what you are! In sickness and in health is the most profound friendship. The whisper of your words and the light of our hope and the call of the promise are the welcome we long for.

I heard someone say recently that for God a 1000 years is like a day and a day is like a 1000 years. I have always understood the fact that God has a perspective that make 1000 years seem like just a day. He is so large and eternal that a 1000 years seem like just a day to him. The other side of this statement is just as profound. For God a day is like 1000 years. God is so fully engaged in the moment that each second passes in rich full spectrum multidimensional hues before Him. This is a picture of God that is so close that each heart beat is shared like it is a full life time. Our moments on the phone with you were like this to us. Seconds cherished as days and minutes as years. Thanks for this profound gift, fleeting yet rich, faltering yet full of eternal hope and love.

Thanks to the One who has concurred death we plan to see you again. We ache for the day we will worship Jesus our Lord and Master together, the day tears will be wiped away, the shadows will pass and the Day will be forever brighter.

We are sending a picture of our little family that was taken at the end of last year. Your love has touched the circle of our lives.

All our love

Laurence, Lois, Ruth and Jonathan.
