Message from Laurie Love for Sukij

Sukij,

My dear friend – I struggle to put into words the meaning of your friendship. What comes to mind with the greatest of ease when I think of you is the word, contentment. In the words of Frederick Keonig, “We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather recognizing and appreciating what we do have. You have always so greatly impressed me with this life achievement, making the most out of each and every day.

You have also shown me and helped guide me to understanding truly how important it is to live in the present – and to paying attention to what really matters most. I often refer to a wonderful little book that you gave me entitled, 365 Ways to Live a Simple and Spiritual Life. It’s filled with quotes and words of wisdom meant to inspire and help us down the path of….well, a “happy life”.

The book is just an example of the countless, thoughtful things that you do…nurturing your friendships and helping to contribute to our personal growth and happiness. In reading the notes on this wonderful Blog, I see what I have always known – that whomever is fortunate enough to count you among their friends has been touched immeasurably by your kindness, intellect and tremendous spirit. My heart and mind are filled with so many wonderful memories of time shared with you. I am grateful to call you my friend and praying for your comfort and strength.

Love,

Laurie
